An employee's annual leave entitlement is not showing

Why entitlements are not calculated when seniority has not been entered, and how to fix it.

If an employee has completed a year but no annual leave is showing, or the days they have taken appear as a negative balance, the most common cause is that their seniority has not been entered.

Entitlements are not calculated until seniority is set. When you add a new employee, their seniority needs to be defined as well.

To add seniority

  1. Go to Employee > Employees in the left-hand menu.

  2. Open the three-dot menu to the right of the employee and go to Edit Personal Information.

  3. Add the employee's seniority under Seniority.

Once seniority is added, entitlements are calculated and appear in the employee's leave balance.

To raise an entitlement manually

Open Leave Entitlements in the same menu and use the Add Bonus Leave button at the bottom right to grant extra days.
