The Team today card on the home page shows, from approved leave that has not ended yet, who is off today and leave in the next 30 days; a person's own leave is not on the card. By default, every employee sees only their own leave, so an employee without a rule has no leave section on the card (for attendance managers the card stays with the attendance section only). A person with the View Leave List (Multi) permission also sees the leave of employees in the branches they are responsible for, on top of their rule. The leave type shows only with that permission or to that leave's approver. This article explains how to define a wider visibility rule per employee. Users with the company admin role or the COMPANY_PAYMENT_READ permission do this.
Before you start
Branch, department and position must be assigned correctly to employees; the rules work on this information.
Step by step
In the left menu, go to Configuration > Company settings.
In the Modules & Display group on the left, select Visibility Settings.
On the Upcoming Leaves Visibility row, click Detail. Employees and their current Visibility Rule are listed.
Click the edit icon on an employee's row. You can also select several employees and give them the same rule with Bulk Edit.
Choose the Visibility Mode:
Self: sees only their own leave.
Branch / Department / Position: sees the leave of employees in the selected branches, departments or positions. Options such as Include own branch add the employee's own unit. You must select at least one target or tick this option.
Manager: besides their own leave, sees the leave of the employees whose position reports directly to them (the people they manage). No targets are selected; the list follows the team as it changes.
All: sees the upcoming leave of everyone in the company.
Save.
Result
On the home page, the employee sees the approved leave of the people matching the rule on the Team today card.
Pending or rejected leave is not shown on the card. Employees without a rule get Self.
