When a competency period is published, the evaluations assigned to you appear on the Assigned to Me tab of Growth and hiring > Competency review and you get a "You Have Evaluations to Complete" email. This article explains how to fill in evaluations and view your results. Everyone with Performance Management Employee Permission does this.
Before you start
Growth and hiring > Competency review appears in the menu.
The period's start date has come. Evaluations of a period that has not started are shown with the Period not started label but cannot be filled in.
The end date has not passed. After the end date, evaluations cannot be saved or submitted.
Step by step
Go to Growth and hiring > Competency review. The Assigned to Me tab opens. Each card is one evaluation: it shows whom you evaluate, your role, the period dates and the progress percentage.
The role on a card shows your point of view: Self Assessment (yourself), About My Direct Report (someone you manage), About My Manager (your manager), About My Peer (a peer in the same position).
The All, Not started, Draft and Submitted tabs above the list filter the evaluations by status. In the row under them, search with the Search employee... box and narrow the list with the Period and Evaluation type (Self Assessment, Team Evaluations) filters; Clear all removes them all. The right end of the row shows how many evaluations were found; Sort orders by period, evaluated person, evaluation type, end date, progress or status. When you select a single period, a banner above the list shows how many evaluations you must finish within how many days. With many evaluations, change pages at the bottom of the list.
Click a card. The Fill Evaluation window opens. At the top you see Progress, Deadline and the period description.
Choose an answer for each question; after you choose, the next question opens. Optionally write a Comment (optional) with Add comment. You can pick answers with number keys and move between questions with ← →.
To take a break, click Save Draft. There is no autosave; if you close without saving, your answers are lost.
On the last question, click Go to Summary. The summary lists unanswered questions; click one to go back to it.
When all questions are answered, click Submit and confirm in the Submit evaluation window.
A submitted evaluation cannot be changed; neither you nor the admin can reopen it.
My Results
The My Results tab lists your periods whose results are open under Completed Periods. When you click a period, you see:
the Overall Score and the scores by role (Self Assessment, My Manager, My Direct Reports, My Peers), with how many evaluations were completed in each,
the Competency Scores table (each competency by role and the Average). The Average and the Overall Score use the role weights the admin set for the period; they match the score in the report.
Comments (grouped by competency).
A period's results open when Results visible to employee was selected for the period and either all evaluations in the period have been submitted or the admin closed the period with Close after its end date. Evaluations that were not submitted in a closed period do not count toward the score. If the admin turned off Show Direct Report and Peer Evaluations to Employee, evaluations from your direct reports and peers are not shown, and a note on the screen says so. If Anonymous Evaluation is on, direct report and peer comments show Anonymous instead of a name; your manager's comments show the name.
Result
The card of a submitted evaluation says Submitted, and it counts toward the progress on the admin's Periods tab. For evaluations you have not finished, reminder emails come at the frequency the admin chose, plus a last reminder the day before the end date.
On the Periods tab you see the company's competency periods, their dates and completion rate. Who evaluates whom, the evaluation progress and the average score are shown to the admin only.
