Export a compensation plan to Excel and download it from My lists

Explains how to have the current and new salaries of the employees in a compensation plan prepared as an Excel list, how to follow and download the list in the My lists window, and what the file contains.

This article explains how to get the current and proposed salaries of the employees in a compensation plan as an Excel file. The list is not downloaded immediately: your request is prepared in the background, a notice in the bottom right corner tells you when it is ready, and you get the file with Download or from the My lists window. Users with the Compensation Admin permission do this. Evaluators who only have Compensation User do not see the Export and My lists buttons.

Before you start

  • The compensation plan you want to export must exist and contain at least one employee (Create a compensation plan).

  • The file follows the filters you select on the screen. To get every employee, keep the All status tab selected and leave the search box and the filters empty.

Step by step

  1. In the left menu, go to Pay and expenses > Compensation. The Compensation tab must be open; the Salary Change tab has no export.

  2. Select the plan you want to export in the Compensation Plans list on the left. The plan status does not matter; the file contains the employees added to the plan.

  3. Optionally narrow down the Employees table on the right. These filters are applied to the file:

    • The status tab (All, Draft, Waiting Data Entry, Approval Process, Approved, Revised and Approved, Rejected): only employees with the selected status are included.

    • The Search employee... search and the Department and Position filters: one of them is applied to the file; with a name search only employees whose name matches, otherwise those in the selected department, otherwise those in the selected position (the list on screen applies all three together).

    • The Proposal date filter in the toolbar: employees whose raise proposal was entered in that range are included. Employees without a proposal yet are not affected by the date range.

  4. Click the Export icon to the right of the Employees heading. Hovering over the icon shows Export. The icon shows a short progress for a moment and a Preparing your list notice appears in the bottom right corner with Compensation plan list and a summary of the plan and filters you chose. You can move to another page meanwhile.

  5. When the list is ready, the Your list is ready notice appears in the bottom right corner. Click Download; the Excel file is downloaded to your computer.

  6. If you closed the notice, or want to download the list again later, click the My lists button at the top right of the page. Your request appears as Compensation plan list with the filter summary; get the file with Download on its row (Downloading a list as Excel and My lists).

    My lists window

Result

  • The downloaded file name starts with Compensation_Report and contains the date and time. The top rows of the file show your company name (as it is stored in the system) and a heading with the plan name as the screen shows it, such as "Salary Change Table - Period 1 – 2026".

  • Each employee has these columns: ID Number, Employee Name, Branch, Department, Position, Current Salary, Salary Type, New Salary and Increase (percent).

  • For employees without a raise proposal yet, New Salary shows 0 in red.

  • Below the table there is a separate Total row for each currency (monthly totals of current and new salaries and the average increase) and a Yearly row with those totals multiplied by 12.

  • The file is prepared in Turkish or English according to the language saved in your account.

  • Prepared lists stay in the My lists window, so you can download the same file again later. The window shows only the lists you requested, and only the person who made the request can download the file.

  • Exporting does not change any salary record. No email, SMS or bell notification is sent; the notice in the bottom right corner and the My lists window show when the list is ready.
