This article explains how to give employees payments (premium, bonus, additional payment) and deductions (advance, union dues, fund) on the All Benefits screen. Users with the BENEFIT_MANAGER permission do this. Records flow into the payroll of the months you select automatically.
Before you start
The payment and deduction types you use must be selected under Settings > Type Management (Benefit settings).
If you are entering an advance, check the limits under Settings > Advance Rules.
The payroll months the payment or deduction falls in must not be closed.
Step by step: add a payment
In the left menu, go to Pay and expenses > Benefits. The screen opens on the Payments tab.
Click Add Payment.
In Employee Selection, select the employees and click Next.
In Type Selection, pick the Payment Type: Premium, Bonus, Sales Commission, Board Fee, Board Fee (SSI Exempt), Education Compensation, Salary Difference Allowance, Bonus Payment, Additional Payment, Allowance or Cash Compensation. Cash Compensation can be given only when one employee is selected.
In Enter Details, fill in Net/Gross, Payment Period (Payment Date for Once, Select Period for Monthly), Amount and Currency.
For Additional Payment, Additional Payment Name is required; as Payment Method you can choose Cash or In-Kind. An in-kind additional payment can only be in Turkish Lira and Net.
For Allowance (travel allowance), enter the travel details (Destination Country, Destination City, Travel Start, Travel End) and the Exemption Amount.
Click Save.
Step by step: add a deduction
On the All Benefits screen, click the Deductions card.
Click Add Deduction.
In Employee Selection, select the employees and click Next.
In Type Selection, pick the Deduction Type: Advance, Enforcement, Union Dues, Alimony, Fund Deduction, Traffic Fine Deduction, Travel Allowance Deduction or Other Deduction. Advance, Enforcement, Alimony, Traffic Fine Deduction and Travel Allowance Deduction can be entered for one employee only.
Fill in the fields in Enter Details. Deductions are always entered as net amounts.
Advance: the Amount is the total advance; enter the Installment Count and the monthly installment is calculated automatically. The deduction date is the month of the first installment. The record is checked against Advance Rules (salary multiple limit, minimum employment period, advances per year, days between advances); an advance that breaks a rule is not saved.
Union Dues and Fund Deduction are entered monthly only. Fund Deduction requires Employee Fund Membership and Fund Code or Name. Fund deductions and traffic fines can only be in Turkish Lira.
Enforcement and Alimony ask for creditor details such as Person/Institution, Bank Name and IBAN. How enforcement is calculated in payroll is explained in the Payroll articles.
Click Save.
Result
The record is added to the list of the relevant tab and included in the payroll calculation of the months you selected. The employee sees only their own records on the same screen. This action sends no email or notification.
From the ⋮ menu at the end of a row you can use Detail, Edit and Delete; tick several rows to delete them with Bulk Delete. When editing, the employee and the deduction type cannot be changed.
