When you sign up for Teamso yourself on teamso.com, the workspace setup wizard opens before you get to the dashboard. In three steps it asks about your role, your company and what you want to do with Teamso; it turns modules on based on your choices and simplifies your menu. The main administrator who signed the company up completes the wizard once.
Before you start
Sign up for Teamso (Opening a company account, email verification and your first sign-in). The wizard opens by itself right after signing up or after the payment screen.
Have your company name, the approximate number of employees and (if you have one) your website address ready.
You cannot go to the other dashboard screens until you finish the wizard. To take a break, click Log out at the top right; when you sign in again the wizard starts from the beginning.
Step by step
1. Choose your role
On the Before we get started, which best describes your role? screen, choose the role that fits you: HR manager, Founder / CEO, Accounting / Payroll, Manager or Employee. Then click Continue.
Your role decides which modules are suggested in the next step and which modules are turned on if you skip it.
2. Tell us about your company
On the Tell us about your company screen:
Check Company name. If you entered it when signing up it is already filled in; it can be at most 100 characters.
Optionally choose an Industry. You can search the list; if yours is not there, choose Other.
Choose the Number of employees range.
Check Country. The country you chose when signing up is filled in. If you signed up with a country outside Turkey, Turkey cannot be selected.
Optionally type your company's address in Website (for example example.com). Teamso learns about your company from your site and suggests the right modules. Recognising your company from its website with AI uses Teamso digital credit (the cost shows under the field, by default 1 credit; credit is spent only when the AI suggestion is used). Without enough credit the AI step is skipped, the suggestions come from the sector rules and the setup carries on.
Click Continue. If you entered a website, you wait a few seconds while the suggestions are prepared.
3. Choose what you want to do with Teamso
On the What do you want to do with Teamso? screen, tick the areas you want to use. You can pick more than one:
Leave management, Employee records, Payroll, Time and attendance, Expenses, Recruitment and Performance.
The ones suggested for your role or website come ticked with the Recommended label; you can clear them or add others.
Payroll is only available for companies in Turkey. If you chose a country outside Turkey, it cannot be selected.
When you are done, click Continue. If you do not want to decide now, click Skip for now; you start with the modules that fit your role.
On the Personalizing your workspace screen your modules are turned on and your menu is prepared. After Done! appears, the home page opens.
Result
The modules of the areas you chose are on; the ones you did not choose are off. Core modules such as employees, organization and settings are always on. Modules that are off do not appear in the menu, and their data is not deleted.
The Discover item appears at the bottom of the left menu. You turn on modules you are not using yet from there with a single click (Turning company modules on and off).
The Finish your setup list appears on the home page. It only shows the steps for your active modules (entering your own details, adding departments and positions, adding employees and so on). Clicking a step opens the related screen; steps you have finished are crossed out (First steps in Teamso).
Common problems
Symptom: Continue does not move on and there is a red warning under a field.
Cause: The role, company name, number of employees or country is missing, the website address is invalid, or nothing is chosen in the last step.
Solution: Correct the field in the warning. In the last step, choose at least one area or click Skip for now.
Symptom: It says "We could not reach your website, so suggestions are based on your role."
Cause: Your website could not be reached at that moment. If many analyses were run in a short time, you may also see "The website analysis limit has been reached".
Solution: Adjust the suggestions yourself and continue; the result is the same.
Symptom: Payroll was removed from my choices.
Cause: You chose a country outside Turkey; payroll is only available for companies in Turkey.
Solution: If your company is in Turkey, correct Country in the second step.
Symptom: After setup I cannot see a module's menu.
Cause: The module is off because it was not chosen in the wizard.
Solution: Click Discover in the menu and turn the module on (Turning company modules on and off).
