Every Teamso email that can be turned off has an I don't want these emails link at the very bottom: Workflow notifications such as leave, expense, request and approval emails, and the Getting started emails, Usage summaries and Teamso product emails sent to the company administrator. This article explains how to turn these emails off with that link, without signing in.
Before you start
Have the Teamso email you want to turn off in your inbox. The link only works for the person the email was sent to.
Step by step
Click the I don't want these emails link at the very bottom of the email. The Email subscription page opens in your browser; it first says "Checking your link", then shows the email's name and category (for example "The “Your leave was approved” email is sent to you." and "Category: Workflow notifications").
Choose how much to turn off:
Turn off only this email: only this kind of email (for example only leave approval emails) is turned off; the other emails in the same category keep coming.
Turn off every email in this category: every email in the email's category is turned off (for example all workflow notifications).
Stop all Teamso emails: every Teamso email you receive that can be turned off is turned off. The list below shows only the categories you receive and whether each is On or Off (for example employees do not see the usage summaries sent to administrators).
"Emails turned off" appears. The emails you chose are no longer sent.
If you change your mind, click Open notification settings, sign in to Teamso and turn them back on on the Emails tab of the Notification settings window (Following and setting up your notifications).
Mail apps such as Gmail, Outlook and Apple Mail may show their own Unsubscribe button next to the sender. That button turns off only that kind of email with one click (the same as Turn off only this email on the page); no page opens.
Which emails cannot be turned off
Security, account and payment emails and legal notices do not have this link. Instead they carry a "cannot be turned off" sentence and an Email preferences link at the bottom, and your mail app's unsubscribe button does not appear on them.
Kind | Examples | Why it cannot be turned off |
Security | Sign-in code, email verification, password reset and set your password link, your password changed, sign-in from a new device, support access opened | Needed to sign in and to keep your account secure. |
Account | Your account is ready, company data deleted, company account closed | Tells you about an important change to your account that cannot be undone. |
Payment | Payment receipt, trial and licence ending, payment failed, billing details missing, account suspended, bank transfer pending, seat limit, digital credit low | Sent about your payment and subscription; missing it can interrupt the service. |
Legal notice | Your e-payslip was sent, your e-payslip was sent again | Delivering the payslip to the employee is a legal obligation. |
Emails sent to people without a Teamso account (candidate emails, survey and report notice addresses) do not have this link either; no preference can be kept for them in Teamso.
Result
This page only turns emails off. To turn an email back on, sign in to Teamso and use Notification settings.
Some emails also depend on a company setting (for example badge, celebration and announcement emails); this page only changes your own choice.
The link does not expire. Clicking the same link again changes nothing; links in older emails keep working.
Every change is written to the activity log.
