I'm not receiving the verification code (SMS)

Explains which Teamso actions are confirmed with a 6-digit code sent to your phone, the code window, how to request a new code, and what to check when the code does not arrive (phone number, Digital Credits, foreign numbers).

Teamso asks you to confirm some actions digitally with a 6-digit code sent by SMS to the phone number on your record. For example:

  • entering a leave (Approval of Leave Entry) and deleting a leave,

  • sending an expense group for approval and approving it,

  • approving an e-payslip, an e-document or an asset handover form,

  • converting overtime to payment or leave,

  • sending your Data Entry Request for approval,

  • buying Digital Credits.

If your company turned on extra verification at sign-in, the sign-in code also arrives by SMS or email (Signing in to Teamso).

The code window

SMS Verification window
  1. The window shows the number the code was sent to ("Enter the verification code sent to this number:"). First check that this is your number.

  2. Enter the 6-digit code from your phone in the boxes. When all six digits are entered the code is checked automatically; you can also send it with Confirm. If the code is wrong a warning is shown; pressing Confirm on the same code does not send it again and does not use up an attempt. Once you correct a digit, the code is checked again. A code shorter than six digits or with other characters is refused and does not use up an attempt.

  3. Usually you do not need to type the code; your phone or browser offers the code from the SMS:

    • iPhone and iPad (Safari): Tap the code box; From Messages appears above the keyboard. Tap it and the code is written into the boxes.

    • Mac (Safari and Chrome): If Text Message Forwarding is turned on in the Messages settings of your iPhone, the SMS also reaches your Mac and Safari offers the same suggestion below the code box. On macOS Tahoe and later, Chrome and other browsers offer it too. If you do not see it, click the code box once.

    • Android (Chrome): When the SMS arrives, Chrome asks to enter the code into the boxes; once you allow it, the code is filled in. Your keyboard may also offer the code from the SMS.

    • Chrome on Windows: Chrome on your computer also offers the code that arrives on an Android phone signed in to Chrome with the same Google account.

When you ask for the code from an Android phone or a Windows computer, the last line of the SMS reads "@teamso.com #123456"; it lets Chrome recognise the code as Teamso's. The SMS of a code asked for from an iPhone, iPad or Mac has no such line. If no suggestion appears, copy the SMS text and paste it into the first box; the digits in the text are taken. The code is checked as soon as it is filled in.

  4. If the code does not arrive within 3 minutes, wait for the Remaining Time counter to finish and click Send Again next to Didn't you receive the confirmation code?. If you close and reopen the window before the code expires, the same code is sent again, so the code in an SMS that arrives late still works. An expired code is replaced by a new one: enter the code from the latest SMS.

If the code does not arrive

The number in the window is wrong or out of date.
The code always goes to the number on record. As an employee you cannot change your own number; ask your company's HR team to update it (How do I update my phone number?), then start the action again.

"Insufficient Digital Credit" appeared and the window closed.
Sending an SMS uses the company's Digital Credits. If they have run out, no code is sent. Ask your company administrator to top up credits (Digital Credits).

The number is right but no SMS arrives.

  • Check your phone's spam or blocked messages folder.

  • When the counter finishes, request a new code with Send Again.

  • Make sure your phone can receive SMS (signal, airplane mode).

"This code has expired or has no attempts left" is shown.
Each code is valid for 3 minutes and can be tried at most 5 times. After this warning the same code is no longer accepted; click Send Again right away, without waiting for the counter, and enter the new code.

"A newer code was sent instead of this one" is shown.
The code you entered is from an older SMS; it expired and a new code was sent. Enter the code from the latest SMS on your phone.

I use a phone number from outside Türkiye.
Codes are sent to numbers outside Türkiye too. Make sure your number is saved in the system with its country code (e.g. +49 …).

I am abroad with roaming turned off.
Action codes are sent only by SMS; if you cannot receive SMS you cannot complete these actions. Turn on roaming to receive SMS.

The sign-in code does not arrive.
The sign-in code is valid for 3 minutes; Resend Code can be used up to three times, one minute apart. If you have no phone number on record or the company has run out of Digital Credits, the sign-in code is sent to your email.

If your number is correct, there are enough credits and the code still does not arrive, write to the support team from the chat bubble at the bottom right of the app.
